HESTIA arrives at Duna - first crewed interplanetary arrival

HESTIA has arrived at Duna after a 58-day transit, completing orbital insertion on its first pass. All eight crew are in Duna orbit entering the orbital science phase. Valentina Kerman performed the first EVA in Duna orbit. VESTA remains docked as cargo companion. LSI 2 continues as the deep-space comms relay via SOLARCOM.

Dosos Kerman identified coolant loop valve 2-B (starboard secondary) cycling at 4.2 Hz (nominal 3.5, ceiling 5.0). Huddin Kerman adjusted deadband, reduced to 3.8 Hz, holding. Katdorf Kerman continues observation passes. Guillermo Kerman settling into greenhouse role. Gwenford Kerman: medical status of all eight crew nominal. Katdorf's sleep deficit flagged as medical concern.

HESTIA, the programme's first interplanetary vehicle, has completed its departure burn at 14:23 UTC. Eight crew aboard, 58-day transit, classified propulsion. Valentina Kerman commands. LSI 2 serves as deep-space comms relay. "She is away," Valentina said. The programme became interplanetary at 14:23 UTC.

Confidence delivered the remaining four crew to HESTIA via OTS-5. Valentina Kerman received them across the threshold. Eight kerbals are now aboard the interplanetary vehicle. Departure burn pending.

BelugaX-4 completed a full flight profile and was recovered from the ocean. Three prior failures (HANDOFF, CASCADE, AEGIS) preceded the success.

Unity's uncrewed maiden flight ended in vehicle loss. Read as an integration failure rather than hardware failure. No crew aboard. Programme delay expected.
