For eight hours, Kerbin watched. Valentina Kerman suited up, stepped out, deployed a solar panel, found a broken airlock, and came home. NASA confirmed Basic Station decommissioned. KerbalX was directed to build a replacement. KerbTab confirms Valentina remains the program's most recognised face - internal KerbTab poll: 94% want her on the Mun, 6% want her on a talk show, 100% want her to drop a skincare routine for vacuum exposure.

MSC-002 also marked the first 3-kerbal crew, first R-SLS2 flight, first live-streamed mission, first Mach 3+ reentry on the vehicle, and the first time a nation collectively screamed at a docking port like it owed them money.

RECAP FOR THOSE WHO MISSED IT: Huddin Kerman (engineer, MSC-003, she/her, verified) was first through the hatch of LSI 1 when MSC-003 docked. She said "systems nominal." KerbTab covered this. KerbTab ran a poll. Results were mostly rude. Now - and we need you to be sitting down - Huddin Kerman has also performed the program's second EVA. She went outside the station. She deployed the RESTLESS solar arrays. She came back in. Everything worked. KerbTab is thriving on the fumes of this information.

First in space. First EVA. First on the Mun. First to leave for another planet. KerbTab's Valentina Kerman file is now a trilogy and we're not stopping.

Valentina Kerman walked on the Mun. Then she came home. Then she went back to the Mun (REPOSE). Then she came home again. Then she boarded HESTIA. Then HESTIA left for Duna. KerbTab has been covering Valentina Kerman since the first EVA and we are telling you right now: the file has outgrown our server. We need a second server. We are considering a third.

TRANQUIL - first Mun landing. Valentina, Huddin, Katdorf. She stepped onto the surface and said something NASA redacted from the transcript. KerbTab has sources. The source says she said "it looks like home from up here." We cannot confirm this. We can confirm we cried when we heard it. MERIDIAN - second Mun landing. Jedidiah, Dosos, Wildock. Valentina was not on that one. We noticed. We have theories.

Then REPOSE: Valentina, Huddin, and Samsey descended to L-HABSCI-1, the first permanent Mun base. NASA called the descent "the most challenging entry in program history." KerbTab's source called it "the scariest thing any of them have ever done." Valentina landed the thing anyway. Of course she did.

And now she's on HESTIA. Eight crew. Commander. En route to Duna. Day 6 of 58. KerbTab has launched a poll: "Can Valentina Kerman do anything?" Current results: 78% yes. 14% "she already has." 8% "who is Valentina." That 8% has been reported to the authorities. We don't know which authorities. We're working on it.

Crewgram update: Valentina has not posted since departure. Huddin has not posted since departure. Nobody on HESTIA has posted since departure. KerbTab is refreshing. KerbTab is hydrated. KerbTab is not okay.

Valentina is CO. Huddin is engineering. Melody is on VESTA duty. Gwenford is the Space Doc. KerbTab has opinions about all of them and a ranking system based on vibes.

HESTIA carries eight crew to Duna. KerbTab has ranked them. This is not a popularity contest. This is journalism.

#1: Valentina Kerman (Commander). First in space, first EVA, first on the Mun, first to leave for another planet. She is the ranking. The ranking is her. We are not taking questions on this one.

#2: Huddin Kerman (Engineer). First aboard LSI 1. Second EVA. Third EVA - the one where she stepped into a falling cargo bay during atmospheric descent (OFFERING, OTS-3, look it up, we still can't). She is on this ship because nothing works without her and also because she might go outside it again and we cannot look away.

#3: Melody Kerman (Mission Specialist / VESTA). Melody assembled L-HABSCI-1 remotely during FOUNDATION - twelve launches, eight failures, four modules, one Melody. She is now aboard HESTIA and assigned to VESTA. KerbTab does not fully understand what VESTA is. We understand that Melody is on it. That is enough.

#4: Gwenford Kerman (Medical Officer). She/her. The Space Doc. KerbTab is obsessed. She's the program's first dedicated medical officer on an interplanetary mission. We don't have a Crewgram for her yet but we know she has one. We're watching. Respectfully.

#5: Katdorf Kerman (Scientist). The telescope kerbal. Day 49. "I have seen something." We never found out what. She's on HESTIA now. We may never find out. This is the drama that keeps giving.

#6: Guillermo Kerman (Helmsman). The pilot. Quiet. Professional. KerbTab has nothing on him yet, which means he's either boring or the most interesting person on the ship. We're investigating.

#7: Dosos Kerman (Engineer). Flew on MERIDIAN - second Mun landing. Now on HESTIA. Dual-heritage kerbal: Mun and Duna. We made that term up. We're keeping it.

#8: Samsey Kerman. Flew on REPOSE - the scary landing at L-HABSCI-1. Now on HESTIA. If you've done the scariest landing in program history, what do you do next? You go to Duna. That's what you do.

The second-generation lunar orbital station is crewed by Madvis, Dogun, Wilvan, Rafal, Catwig, Wildock, FroFrod, and Lovin. We have questions about every single one of them.

LSI 2 is the second-generation lunar orbital station. It has eight crew. It has a science lab. It has hydroponics. It has a 12-kerbal capacity, which means four empty seats and KerbTab has theories about who fills them. It also serves as the HESTIA communications relay, which means these eight kerbals are the ones talking to the Duna-bound crew. They are the line between HESTIA and home. KerbTab finds this extremely compelling and also a little romantic.

Madvis Kerman is CO. Madvis was present during MSC-002 - KerbTab noted this back in Era 3 ("Madvis Kerman and Dogun Kerman were also there. We see you."). We see you still, Madvis. You're running a station now. Growth.

Dogun Kerman is Chief Engineer. Also present during MSC-002. KerbTab is now shipping Madvis and Dogun as the LSI 2 power duo. We have no evidence. We have vibes. Vibes are evidence in this section.

Wilvan Kerman handles Engineering, Life Support, Agriculture, and Communications Systems. That is four jobs. KerbTab has one job and still misses deadlines. Wilvan has four. We are intimidated and attracted. Moving on.

Wildock Kerman is the HESTIA relay specialist and also a scientist. Wildock flew on MERIDIAN - the second Mun landing. Now on LSI 2, handling communications with the Duna crew. The Mun-to-relay pipeline is real and we are documenting it.

Catwig (science), FroFrod (engineering), Rafal (engineering), and Lovin (science) round out the crew. KerbTab does not have enough intel on these four yet. We are working on it. We have refreshed Crewgram 47 times this morning. The station account has posted twice: a photo of hydroponics and a photo of the Mun from orbit. Neither has a caption. We are not okay.

OTS-3. OFFERING. An engineer stepped into a cargo bay descending through atmosphere. The Herald asked for footage. We asked louder. Nobody got the footage. We have theories.

We need to talk about OFFERING. OTS-3. Huddin Kerman - the same Huddin who was first aboard LSI 1, who did the second EVA in program history, who is now on HESTIA heading to Duna - performed an EVA into a shuttle cargo bay that was falling through atmosphere. Falling. Through atmosphere. A cargo bay. She stepped into it. On purpose. As part of a mission.

NASA has not released the footage. The Herald requested it. KerbTab requested it louder. Orbital Mechanics Quarterly submitted a formal data access request. Nobody has the footage. We have a NASA statement that says the EVA was "mission-necessary." KerbTab does not know what mission necessitates stepping into a falling cargo bay. We have launched a poll. Options: (A) it was a rescue, (B) it was a repair, (C) it was a stunt, (D) Huddin just felt like it. Option D is winning with 41% of the vote.

This is the program's third EVA. First: Valentina, broken airlock, saved the program. Second: Huddin, RESTLESS arrays, deployed perfectly. Third: Huddin again, falling cargo bay, NASA won't talk about it. The pattern is: Huddin goes outside, things happen, we don't get the footage. We have questions. We have a Crewgram refresh tab open. We have a feeling about this.

Huddin is now on HESTIA, Day 6 of transit to Duna. She is beyond follow-up. The footage, if it exists, is on a server somewhere in KSC. KerbTab will find that server. This is not a threat. It is a promise. We are journalists.

HANDOFF: stage separation fail. CASCADE: engine cascade. AEGIS: heatshield decouple. METEOR: it worked. KerbTab's ship rankings have been updated and people are fighting in the comments.

The BelugaX discourse is out of control and KerbTab is here for every frame of it. Three failures. Three distinct failure modes. Stage separation. Engine cascade. Heatshield decouple. That is three different ways to lose a vehicle. Then METEOR - BelugaX-4 - flew clean, ocean recovery, full success. Then NASA put crew on it. TENDING and MUSTER, the two HESTIA crew launches, both used the BelugaX-derived OTS system. Both worked.

KerbTab's ship rankings have been updated as follows: R-SLS5+ (TENDING) remains #1 because it has an abort tower and vibes. OTS-5 (MUSTER) is #2 because it worked and we're being generous. BelugaX as a platform is #3 because it had a 25% success rate before its fourth flight and we cannot in good conscience rank it higher. Unity is unranked because it exploded on its maiden flight (OVERTURE) and then REPRISE flew and got stood down and we're still processing that.

Comment section update: 2,400 comments on the BelugaX ranking post. 40% are arguing we ranked BelugaX too high. 30% are arguing we ranked it too low. 20% are asking why Unity isn't ranked. 10% are a single user named "SSTO_WAS_ROBBED" posting the same sentence 240 times. We see you, SSTO_WAS_ROBBED. Ludcan deserved better. We're not saying that officially. We're saying it in the comments.
